Hello everyone and welcome to my DFS likes of the week. This week, I was on the @DegenerationBet DFS Friday episode with a good buddy of mine, @LambVM10. We talked both DraftKings and FanDuel DFS for week 15 and I represented Dominate Football proudly. With that all said, let’s get this started.
Cam Newton– DraftKings– $6,400. FanDuel– $7,900
Cam Newton is my favorite DFS QB play this week, I’m in love with the matchup. Cam is coming off a bad game where he was still able to put up 15.5 fantasy points against a stout Minnesota defense. Cam Newton has rushed for more than 50 yards 6 times this season including in 3 out of his last 4 games. When you get that kind of rushing production from your QB, then add to the fact that he’s playing the GB defense who’s allowed three consecutive 20+ point games to QB’s; it’s a recipe for success. Cam is also averaging 24 points in his last 4 home games.
Blake Bortles– One of my sneaky starts this week, Bortles is averaging 23.43 points in his last 3 games including 4 TD passes and 2 rushing touchdowns. Houston is allowing the most fantasy points to QB’s this season and with an ailing Leonard Fournette, who is my projected dud of week15, I believe the Jaguars will rely on him to pass the ball a lot more this game.
Kenyan Drake– DraftKings– $5,800. FanDuel– $6,500.
I’m staying in the flames here with Drake against a Buffalo Bills defense that has allowed the most fantasy points to RB’s all season. Drake has scored 27 points in back to back weeks where he saw a total of 56 touches in that span of 2 games, including 8 catches. Drake has no business being priced outside the top 12 for RB’s so you’ll be getting no less than 3x his price in value this week; especially if we have another snow game in Buffalo like we did last week.
Kerwyn Williams– I spoke highly about Perine on the podcast last night and do still like him on Draftkings for $4,800. But Kerwyn Williams was just given the keys to the backfield for the rest of the season and the Redskins defense, despite liking them for DFS this week, do give it up to the RB. The Redskins have allowed an RB1 in 3 out of there last 4 games, including 4 rushing touchdowns in that span.
Devin Funchess– DraftKings– $6,600. FanDuel– $7,300.
The Green Bay Packers defense is giving up the 4th most points to WR’s this year with 36.1 points per game. Aside from Funchess, the Panthers don’t have any other WR’s to throw to. Funchess will be the feature target for Cam Newton this week. He ranks 17th in targets for WR’s, 16th in receptions and is tied 9th for TD’s. Funchess has shown to be a consistent play all season. Throw him into your lineup with Cam for what should be a top5 stack this week.
Marquise Goodwin– Wrote about him last week and he continues to impress; Goodwin is great DFS and fantasy playoff play this week.
Dede Westbrook– At a DraftKings price of $5,100 for 10 targets, I’ll take Dede as my WR2 this week as someone who can have 3x times the value of their price.
Paul Richardson– I don’t know what it is this week, but I love me some Paul Richardson. He’s cheaper than any of the other guys I mentioned. He’s seen 7 or more targets in 3 out of his last 4 games and he’s 15th in the league with receptions of 20 yards or more; that’s amazing. Wilson is the hottest QB in football right now and I’d love to get a WR from Seattle in my lineup especially with the Rams missing both there starting CB’s this week.
Vernon Davis– DraftKings– $3,900. FanDuel– $5,800.
Vernon Davis was a favorite play of mine earlier in the season when he was constantly receiving 50-70 yards per game on 4 receptions. For the tight-end position, that would be good for a TE1 in almost all weeks. Davis was a dud in weeks 12 and 13 where he had amazing matchups. But the Redskins offense, in general, those games were bad. Davis saw 7 targets last week in a game where Doctson was lined up across a top-rated corner. Patrick Peterson will be on Doctson this week allowing for more targets to come Vernon’s way. You can pencil him in for 10-12 points which is 3x his priced value.
Saints– DraftKings– $3,900. FanDuel– $5,000.
The Saints defense is going to be a very popular pick this week going up against a Jets offense that was already allowing the 13th most points to opposing defenses and will be without Josh McCown. Add to the fact that the Saints only allow 15.5 fantasy points to QB’s and that’s a formula for success. We know what Bryce Petty is and I fully expect him to flop in the super-dome this weekend.
Redskins– DraftKings– $2,800. FanDuel– $4,500
The Arizona Cardinals have allowed 15 fantasy points in their last 3 games to opposing defenses which ranks the most among all NFL teams. They seem to be the defense to steam against as we approach the final weeks of the season. The Redskins defense is coming off a 9 point outing against the Chargers on the road and I love their chances for a huge game at home. Keep this in mind too, Larry Fitzgerald doesn’t get it done on the road and has scored more than 7 fantasy points on the road once this season. It isn’t getting it done, no one on that offense will. This is my gut feeling play of the week.
