If you are reading this, chances are you made it to the semi-finals of the fantasy playoffs and are sitting in good shape. Unless you were one of the unfortunate souls who had Carson Wentz as their starting QB. Not to worry thru the magic of streaming it’s something that can be over came and help get you to the championship. Luckily majority of people won be on the wire at this point of the season if they didn’t make it so there is more opportunity to find successful players.
Nick Foles @NYG
Well if you have to replace Carson Wentz his replacement for the Eagles should be the first place to start. The Giants are the worst defense in the NFL for giving up points to the quarterback giving up 19.5 points per game. This is an opportunity for a fantastic debut performance this season out of Foles. Definitely temper your expectations though while he has good weapons a decent track record he’s not Carson Wentz and wont single handedly win you a week but he’ll keep you in it.
Joe Flacco @CLE
Flacco has been an absolute bust of a starting quarterback this season, he hasn’t hit 300 yards yet in a game and has been lucky if he hit 250. What most people don’t know is he’s still recovering from injuries and the last two weeks he put up identical performances of 269 yards and 2 touchdowns. Both of these were against better than average defenses in Detroit and Pittsburgh. This week he faces the Cleveland Browns who are bad enough to make anyone look good. Giving up 18.6 points per game to the quarterback position it should lead to an opportunity and to boot they are bad against the tight end which is one of Flacco’s favorite targets.
Tyrod Taylor vs MIA
With Nate Peterman going down with injury Tyrod Taylor reclaimed his rightful place as starting QB for the Bills. Facing a Miami team who played way over their head last week they should be ready for a letdown game and to come back to earth. Out of all of the games where Taylor played the entire game he has only failed to get double digits once thanks to his legs that should be put to use in the snowy weather in Buffalo. While his points might not come in a pretty way they will be there for a desperate quarterback trying to play for a job on a desperate team trying to make playoffs.
Ricky Seals-Jones @WAS
Seals-Jones first two games with Gabbert he got into the end zone and put up nice fantasy numbers. The last two weeks he disappeared. This week is the perfect opportunity to get back on track against a Redskins defense who is giving up the second worst points against tight ends in the league with 10.2. With as rough as tight end has been the entire season this matchup is a great option to try to take advantage.
O.J. Howard vs ATL
Howard has very slowly come around to becoming a trusted option in the Bucs passing attack. He has now caught for over 50 yards in 3 of his last 4 games. The young tight end has all of the talent in the world to succeed in the NFL and right now he is in the process of emerging, it’s time to jump on the train while you still can
Bills vs MIA
Terrible weather leads to low scoring games and turnovers, in what should be an ugly game either teams defense would be a solid play but I’d lean towards the Bills who are accustomed to the weather and are facing a Dolphins team who turns the ball over a decent bit.
Was vs AZ
The Cardinals offense is absolutely decimated they’re on their backup quarterback, third string running back and have a barrage of injuries at receiver. This is a nice chance for the Redskins defense to get some turnovers against a team that should be playing catchup most of the game and forced into mistakes.
Dal @ OAK
This is a go big or go home type play, the Cowboys defense have had games where they have put up a ton of points and they have had games where they have been shredded by offenses scoring negative points. Against an Oakland offense that has struggled this year and turned the ball over a ton there is an opportunity where they could score a serious amount of points. If you are desperate and in a league where people are hording defenses they could be worth a chance.
Bonus Flex Streamers
Kendall Wright @ Det
Remember Kendell Wright, he’s gone from hot commodity to forgotten multiple times. Last week in a game back from being healthy Trubisky targeted him 10 times which is a nice opportunity for a slot receiver. If this trend keeps up he could be a sneaky play going into this week.
Wayne Gallman vs PHI
Wayne Gallman is still available in 95% of fantasy leagues minus taking over as the lead back for the Giants this week. Not only did he lead the team in carries but he caught 7 passes as well. This is the type of late season production that can win a fantasy league for you. Grab him up now while you can and get him in the lineup if you need somebody to stream.
