I think this is the most difficult it has ever been to rank running backs. Everywhere you look, you will see a different ranking, especially this early. When looking through the depth charts, many teams have two viable backs. It is going to take a lot of time to see who is going to be the lead back on their teams. However, I believe there will be multiple teams who use more than one back. This is why I think it is very important to take backs who can catch the ball. They can make up for tons of points through the air if they are not seeing a lot of carries. Here are my initial RB rankings that will be changing dramatically between now and the end of August:
