This week’s slate features tons of games with high projected point totals. Normally, there are just three or four games with an over/under exceeding 48, however, this week there are seven. I would expect this week to be a huge week for fantasy football, but you never know what’s going to happen come game time. I’m going to take a look into some value plays to target on DraftKings featuring targets for cash games (h2h and 50/50’s) as well as GPP’s (tournaments):
Aaron Rodgers ($7,600)
High price but comes with a high floor. Scored at least 27 fantasy points in each of his last three games. Tennessee has given up at least two passing touchdowns and 275 yards passing in each of their last three games as well.
Carson Wentz ($5,400)
In a good spot in a game that features the highest over/under on the slate. Squares off against a Falcons team who has given up 290 passing ypg (second most). Price is very affordable and it will not take much for him to meet his value.
David Johnson ($8,400)
Fourth most expensive player on the site but it does not get much safer than this. Should be highly owned even at this price point. AZ is highly favored and if they get a big lead, DJ will carry the load vs. a San Fran D that is giving up over 5 ypa to running backs and over 193 rushing ypg.
Darren Sproles ($4,300)
Very high floor because of his involvement in the passing game. Sproles has seen at least seven targets in the past two weeks since he has worked his way into the starting spot. Affordable and lots of volume at this price.
Jordan Matthews ($5,900)
Had at least ten targets in the past two games. Finds himself at a depressed price and in a very favorable matchup against an Atlanta secondary who has given up the most receptions. They have also allowed six touchdowns to five different WR’s in the past two games.
Stefon Diggs ($6,200)
I expect the new Pat Shurmur offense to continue to revolve around Diggs. He saw 14 targets in Shurmur’s first game as OC. Not tons of yards and touchdowns lately, but this is why he is a better play on DK (full pt PPR).
Ben Roethlisberger ($6,800)
In a sneaky spot here as this game is tied for the highest projected point total set at 50. Dallas has been good against the pass, but have allowed at least one passing TD in every single game this season. After a down week, look for Ben to bounce back at home
Le’Veon Bell ($7,700)
Lots of running backs in good spots this week. The red “2nd” shown next to Bell under his OPRK will scare many people away. He always finds a way to rack up fantasy points in the passing game and has not seen less than six targets in a game so far this year. Not many people will be owning Bell this week so you can go here for a tournament play.
Alshon Jeffery ($6,600)
Overlooked by many DFS players. Finally scored his first TD in their last game and faces a Tampa D who has allowed three different 100-yard WR’s in their past two outings (Cooper, Crabtree, Julio).
